Overview

Internship: part-time hours, flexible

Skills: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Software: MS Excel, word, PowerPoint, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager – a plus

Compensation: Hourly pay ranges depending on experience

Responsibilities

Gables Residential is an award winning, vertically integrated real estate company and privately held REIT. Gables specializes in development, construction, ownership, acquisition, financing and management of multifamily and mixed-use communities in major markets across the U.S. This winter internship geared towards undergraduates and future sustainability professionals provides the opportunity to gain hands on experience in working on energy and water utility data management, analysis and reporting using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. This position reports to the Director of Sustainability.

Qualifications

Education

A high school education or equivalent is required. Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree with a focus on real estate, finance, sustainability, or similar. The position does require the ability to read and write English fluently, and the ability to
accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.


Experience

A minimum of two years of study in collegiate level studies.

 

Skills

The position requires, but is not limited to, the following:

-Professional image

-Outstanding organizational skills

-Good verbal skills

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Outlook and Excel

-Strong customer service orientation

-Basic knowledge of statistics, advanced spreadsheet skills, writing and communications

Software: MS Excel, word, PowerPoint, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager – a plus

 

Licenses

A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is
required.
